Sounds coming soon…
The new Session View. Yes, it’s a different color. But mostly, look to the bottom of your screen: automation recording in clips, and curves in automation, at last.
Ableton today has revealed the details of Live 9, alongside new hardware called Push. The software update brings new ways of transforming sound into MIDI, new and improved devices for shaping sounds, tools for automation that work inside clips and with curved interpolation, a new Browser, and a number of interface and usability enhancements. There are also some features, conceived for Push, that could benefit people using any hardware controller they choose. And alongside these enhancements, you’ll also find a host of new sounds and preset content with which to work.
First, here’s a quick look at what’s new, before we go into more detail and consider this more musically:

Not mine, but a very nice Moog mod by fishjaco on YouTube via MATRIXSYNTH.
Another modded device fresh from surgery. I added an expression pedal mod and the volume drop mod. That’s right, this unit will not drop in volume when an effect is activated unlike a stock unit. This mod was achieved by replacing components on the actual circuit board and bypasses Line 6′s inherent design flaw to provide you with a better quality build. Do you have a pedal like this that you would like for me to modify? Use the Contact link at the top of my site to submit your inquiry.

Every once in a while I’ll feature a mod of my own or someone else’s. This is a project I completed about 2 years ago. This unit has a wide-range pitch adjustment, a dual mode LFO modulation/rate/shaper/gate, rhythmic looping, tone freezing, square wave generator, etc. This unit was my best at the time and provided an amazing learning experience. I sold this but hope to make another one soon after I complete a few more projects currently in the works. Enjoy the pic..

Details to come…
I just finished cloning everything on this site from another project of mine. The purpose is to showcase some of my work and to have some productive fun. The Freqn brand seems more fitting for what you will experience here in the days ahead, so please…stay tunified.
